Immunity Boosting Shot 

Serves: Makes 10 shots
Prep time: 10 minutes


  • 3 oranges, peeled
  • 2 lemons, peeled
  • 250g fresh turmeric
  • 250g fresh ginger
  • 1-2 tsp Manuka honey
  • 1/4tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4tsp black pepper or cayenne pepper, if you want an extra kick!


  1. Peel and remove seeds from the oranges and lemons
  2. Wash the turmeric and ginger thoroughly, they do not need to be peeled.
  3. Juice the oranges, lemons, ginger and turmeric. If you don't have a juicer, a blender on high speed can also work (you may need to strain the mixture depending on your blender).
  4. Mix in the honey and oil.
  5. Divide into 50ml portions and sprinkle with your chosen pepper.
  6. Drink one shot every morning for an immune-boosting start to the day!


  • These can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days or frozen in ice cube trays for up to 3 months

    • Extra virgin olive oil: Contains polyphenols, a potent antioxidant and also assists in the absorption of curcumin.
